A Jing Tea Gift

With a brief that was to depict a journey to tea plantations, Katharine created each in the colourway that reflected the hue of the specific brewed tea. She was asked for example to create a watercolour that suggested the journey to the mountainous tea plantations in the Yumman province of China - which produces a dark and fruity 'Red Tea' and given descriptions of a journey such as; The mountains of Taiwan's breath taking natural park can be seen in the back ground, its as if you have climbed up the mountain through the tea gardens and have turned back to enjoy the view. With these words in mind she was able to create artworks with a location specific mood using her confident watercolour technique.
