More about storyboard illustration
Storyboard illustration is unique. Hardly anyone sees the artwork but it can be hugely influential, nonetheless.
A storyboard illustrator is commissioned to quickly visualise the key scenes of a film, animation, television show or commercial. Their talent lies in taking the script and the director’s vision and translating them into drawings demonstrating the visual narrative of the piece. It’s a vocation that requires imagination, and the ability to tell a story clearly through sequential artwork.
As the storyboard will be used by creative professionals across the production team, it helps if the artwork is engaging and immediate, providing enough detail to capture the idea and atmosphere of each scene.
