Pig Pills

Jacob Stead illustrates the global medication shortage with a creative twist.

Jacob was commissioned by the Pharmaceutical Journal to create an illustration addressing the global shortage of medication containing pancreatic enzymes derived from pigs.

His final artwork features pills shaped like pigs neatly arranged in a weekly pill organiser, cleverly symbolising the reliance on animal-derived enzymes in healthcare.

With his bold use of colour and clean, contemporary style, Jacob’s design conveys the critical nature of the issue in an accessible and visually engaging way.
