The title of the movie translates as 'The Awakening of the Ants' and is a metaphor for women describing a force that keeps everything together but also a silent presence making it difficult for her to express her physical or mental needs. The director asked Natalia to use the figures' hair to convey femininity and create a bond between the Mother and her two Daughters, whilst using the outward gaze and her sensitive drawing skills to evoke vulnerability.
