Working with the team at Penguin Random House, Bob was asked to work on the hardcover design in the style of a Victorian novel. Wobble to Death was first published in 1970 and launched the writing career of one of the world’s greatest crime fiction writers, Peter Lovesey. The story is set in 1879 when race walking competitions, known as "wobbles," were hugely popular. The death of a contender, followed by a second murder, introduces Sergeant Cribb, who goes on to investigate sports-related deaths.
