Sarah Darby draws live at several sporting events as the racing season begins in Australia.
Armed with her art supplies, Sarah spent two days drawing at Flemington racecourse: the home of the Melbourne Cup for the Sofitel Ladies Day Out and the Turnbull Stakes, as well as Sydney's Everest - the highest prize in racing in Australia.
Sarah sketched the vibrant world of 'racing fashion' within the exquisite sponsor marquees, members' enclosures, pavilions, and even a marquee stationed on the final stretch. Sketching over fifty guests per session, her artworks became cherished keepsakes for the racing enthusiasts, enhancing their day with the glamour of the event.
Sarah will be in action at the Melbourne Cup Carnival in early November, where she'll be sketching on two of the four exciting days.
