Working from her studio in Durham, Juliet is in demand for her skills creating unique maps, travel illustrations, architecture and lifestyle pieces. With a prodigious creative talent honed at Falmouth College of Arts (where she achieved a First Class degree in Illustration), she brings an individual, warm personal aesthetic and creative touch to every client’s project. Her portfolio includes editorial and book publishing as well as maps for signage and outdoor interpretation panels.
Approach
Each piece begins as sensitive graphite line work. The initial drawing is scanned in, sometimes with a subtle watercolour background, and coloured digitally using Photoshop’s brushes. The strength of the lines in the image can be adjusted to the client’s wishes.Styles
Juliet’s work ranges from detailed studies to a much looser drawing style, usually with a soft, restrained colour palette. The spontaneity and personality brought by the hand of the artist makes her images more approachable and engaging than many textbook illustrations.Client list
