Colleen the Wanderer

This is the second cover illustration by Victoria for this series of books which narrate the fantastical journey of a young woman in search of a lost city, accompanied by an eclectic assortment of monsters. Victoria's use of flowing, transparent acrylic paints conjures a dark, tumultuous sky and foreboding red rocks, evoking the feeling of an impending storm, as if the scene is suddenly illuminated by a flash of lightning.
