After working on an exciting commission for World Wrestling Entertainment, Ben visited New York where he met with several of WWE's editorial team at the magazine. He was also introduced to Marius Bugge, a photographer who did the brilliant photography on the 'Faces of Evil' features. They went on to collaborate on several personal and professional projects, most recently on the fruits of his trip to Havana to photograph the New York Cosmos. Ben was interested in his personal images, shooting glimpses of street football and amateur players. Ben says "On my second trip to New York, I tracked Marius down and we talked on a rooftop overlooking the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges about his journey from Oslo, Norway, to New York City, via Italy, working with a knockout range of clients. I wanted to know more about the trials of a freelance photographer and how Marius had managed to thrive in a city like New York doing something he loves, the importance of working with and learning from good art-directors." This one is a must listen for any creative freelancers or anyone interested in good imagery, the role of photography in the digital era and building strong networks to support your work.
