Bárbara's commission illustrates the article "Opening the Doors to a Better Future in Guatemala," and is a vibrant celebration of Guatemalan textures and prints.

 

Inspired by the rich cultural tapestry of Guatemala, her designs interweave traditional motifs with elements symbolising education and volunteerism, such as pencils and books.

 

For 27 years, the Cincinnati-based Education Cooperative has dedicated itself to breaking the cycle of poverty in Guatemala, empowering individuals one book, one computer, and one scholar at a time. Bárbara's work highlights this mission, reflecting both the beauty of Guatemalan heritage and the transformative power of education.
