Liam was asked to capture the essence of one of England's old market towns in Gloucestershire by a private client. After a day spent wandering around the town, losing his way on many public footpaths and making watercolour sketches for composition ideas, Liam stumbled upon a view of St James Church with some scattered ruins, a scene which the client chose for the final painting.
