Prior to becoming an illustrator, Eunyoung designed online games. Realising that her passion was to draw, she completed an MA in Illustration at the University of Edinburgh, where the colors, atmosphere and pockets of nature in the ancient city became her muse. She has become a children’s illustrator of note, writing and illustrating books like My Red Ball, and winning awards.
Approach
Her method begins drawing the linework in ink, painting over it in watercolor, then repeating the process to create images with depth and feeling. Sometimes she adds gouache and watercolor pencil to change the vibe, with color editing done in Photoshop.Style
