More about retouching illustration
Photoshop is now a standard tool for illustrators. No matter what style they work in, many illustrators have the skills to retouch artwork and photography for their clients.
This can range from tweaking the lighting and colour channels to alter the tone of an image, through to editing and manipulating images in more complex ways. Elements can be added or cut out as required. A real-world feel can be created by giving texture to flat panels of colour, and a photograph can be retouched to look like an oil painting.
With a little imagination, retouching helps you make the most of your image resources.
