Copenhagen Connects

Supported by the AOI, Montana Forbes organises and hosts the first ever Copenhagen Illustrators Meet-Up titled 'Copenhagen Connects’.

Taking place in November 2024, Montana writes, "Copenhagen Connects is a community that aims to foster ideas and encourages discourse for illustrators and image makers in the nordic region to connect with fellow global creators and commissioners.

I partnered with a Danish Illustrator Morten Voigt to gather an initial group of 20 illustrators residing in Copenhagen. The event was born out of various connections and conversations I had with illustrators here, since I moved from London 3 years ago and it was held at Morten’s vintage furniture boutique Angmas in Nørrebro.

It was a good mixture of recent graduates, early career, mid career and well established illustrators. The group was very engaged in discussions about the illustration landscape in Denmark, diversifying practices and utilising technology and social media to connect with the international community of fellow illustrators and commissioners.

I’m really happy to say that it was well received with resounding feedback for more events! We are now organising the next event for late January - early February 2025."
