Manila takes Manhattan 

'Manila takes Manhattan' published by Afterglow Books/Harlequin is available from the end of March and is a romantic novel following two Filipino celebrities caught between everything they want, in New York.

 

Alyssa adds, "The client wanted to prominently feature the couple, showcase the iconic Manhattan backdrop, and subtly incorporate elements that hinted Manila as they are both Filipinos. With the Philippines being a rich biologically diverse country, I incorporated endemic flowers at the bottom of the cover to infuse the cultural heritage into the design. The title was a hand written script that gives that personal touch that seemed like it was written by Olivia. The characters; Olivia, being the actress, is depicted in a more glamorous attire, exuding a movie star aura, while Mon’s more casual attire reflects his musician persona."
