Tarot of Tales

Seventy Eight cards are illustrated by Rohan Eason for this inspiring new deck by Melinda Lee Holm for CICO Publishers.

This was a mammoth yet fulfilling project for Rohan with 78 cards individually illustrated with his beautiful line work.

Rohan set out to infuse each card with a story of its own, so when reading the cards in sequence, a fairy-tale like story is created for the recipient. He explains, "Melinda played on my love of the magical and fairy-tale aesthetics to create a unique and special storytelling deck which will appeal to learned tarot readers and novices alike. I really pushed myself with every card, to find the best way to express the meaning Melinda attributed to each one in a positive and enveloping narrative, hopefully I was successful. It was a great challenge to create a little part of a greater story in such a small image, it challenged my knowledge of illustrative techniques and became many months of hard but enjoyable work. I was especially pleased with the box design, which CICO have outdone themselves with, it all in all a beautiful creation."
