The Spring Rabbit

A joyous new book illustrated by Christopher Corr tells children how the Easter Bunny came to be.

Written by Angela McAllister and published by Francis Lincoln/Quarto Books, the story follows a girl named Spring who finds a little bird in need of help. As the bird is so cold and weak, Spring turns it into a rabbit with thick, soft fur to keep it warm, and to show their gratitude, birds gather eggs which Rabbit collects in a beautiful basket. Spring tells Rabbit to give them to the children so that they will know Spring is here.

The beautiful tale is illustrated by Christopher with his bright palette and happy brushstokes - attractive art to get a young reader engaged.
