Symbolic Birds

Painted with gouache on aquarel paper, the commission was from a private client who asked for a piece of art for a child yet to be born. The family has roots in America, The Netherlands, Germany and Peru which Marieke symbolised with birds and flowers from each country. She says, "I'm very proud of this piece! It was my first personal commission and I felt honored that I was asked to do this."
