Open Skies is the inflight magazine for Emirates Airline and Daniel was asked to create an image inspired by The Martian movie promotional pieces. Daniel says, "The illustration accompanies the cover story about China's planned missions to Mars, the client asked me to give the image a slightly distorted feel, implying a poor or broken transmission from Mars."
