For the Love of Coffee

Carolina's illustrations were crafted for Bacánika Magazine's latest feature, "Una cafetería no es como las otras," which loosely translates as 'a coffee maker is not like the others', taking the reader on a journey through the fascinating evolution of coffee makers.

In this vibrant narrative, the feature explores the intricate design and rich heritage of four distinct coffee makers, each with its own compelling story to tell. From the opulent surroundings of a Sultan's palace in Turkey to the innovative laboratories of France and Italy, and finally, to the esteemed galleries of North America's design and art museums.

Each drawing depicts the cultural and historical significance of these brewing marvels, all drawn by hand with pencil and digital colour.
