Sharing Love

The War Cry, a monthly magazine committed to spreading the message of God's love without prejudice, reflects The Salvation Army's ethos of addressing human needs. In alignment with this mission, they sought an illustration to accompany The National Commander's Easter Message spread and grace the cover.

Alyssa says, "For the illustration, I was going for a more symbolical interpretation. I wanted to convey the feeling of being rescued and the impact of Christ’s death and resurrection as a promise of fellowship with God and the imense joy of how it would feel being saved. And with Christ’s guidance, we are able to find the light in the darkness."
