CA Winner!

Sveta Dorosheva's work for the British Library's Fantasy exhibition wins an award in this year's Communication Arts competition.

This year's CA Illustration awards attracted 3,639 entries of which 148 were accepted, representing the work of 133 artists. Sveta's epic project with the British Library won recognition in the Institutional category.

The job was to create the key visual for the British Library's Fantasy: Realms of Imagination exhibition which ran in London from October 2023 to February 2024. Sveta says, "The image seamlessly weaves together the four realms of the exhibition: fairy tales and folklore, worlds and portals, epics and quests, and the weird and uncanny – each area populated with myriad characters, ranging from the depths of Hell right into the cosmos. The A1-sized artwork was created by hand with a dip drawing ink nib. It’s on the book cover for the exhibition, entrance banner, billboards, bus stops advertising, wall art in the library hall, and across the show’s merchandise."

An amazing well done to Sveta, read more on the commission here.
