Alyana Cazalet works with Macmillan to create drawings for a new book by Mariella Frostrup and Alice Smellie on the menopause.
Alyana was asked for thirteen chapter drawings for "Cracking the Menopause While Keeping Yourself Together".
Published last month, Alyana loved the challenge of coming up with humorous visual ideas for a subject which for most women is not the greatest time. Alyana says, "We worked closely and discussed ideas with both authors and book editor Katy Denny, it was an intense creative process within short time schedule."
The final pieces are drawn with Alyana's confident fluidity and convey the realities of the menopause in a light-hearted way.
