This edition of Hans Christian Andersen's 'The Snow Queen' is a charity publication for children who need the best play and educational books to aid with their visual impairments.
Brilliantly designed, the book contains text that is printed separately on translucent paper and decorated with silver foil giving a feeling of cold and snow. Victoria adds, "Three-dimensional embossing and tactile elements were also used. A magic pencil reads the tale aloud and plays music. The special package turns into a decoration, and a real puppet show can be played with the figures of the characters...the concept of publishing books for children with visual impairments is included in the UNESCO Regular Program."
