A Vogue Japan Figurative Article

Katharine Asher's love for live drawing sees her commissioned for this lovely Vogue Japan article.

Katharine Asher's elegant fluid brushwork perfectly captures the human body in all it's many forms, during lockdown Katherine discovered online Zoom classes that she adored and which kept her artistic hand and mind active, her favourite was a 'live speed drawings, strike a pose' drawing session with dynamic model @Ami Benton

Misaki Yamashita of VOGUE Japan spotted these and in response asked Katherine to produce a series of drawings for an article in the AUG 2020 issue of VOGUE Japan which described exercises for quarantine to help us keep in shape, the regular life drawing sessions really helped in enabling Kathrine to construct these figures without visual reference.
