"The idea was arrived at by using the interior structure of a grand piano, the sound board, frame and bridge to provide a graphic structure. Then turning the piano itself into a quasi-architectural structure to reflect the title of Pianoscapes. Finally elements suggesting a noir mystery or romance narrative were added to create a darkly magical cityscape.
