The FT commission Vanessa Dell to create one of her distinct portraits
Teenage Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi who is considered a symbol of resistance against Israeli occupation in the West Bank, is the latest person to be painted by the talented Vanessa Dell whose painterly style captures the courageous teenager perfectly.
Commissioned by the FT for their FT Weekend's 'Lunch With' section, Vanessa really enjoyed working on this image, making the most of her subjects curly hair and picking up on the colour and detail of the girl's necklace to incorporate it into the background.
