The Birthday of the Infanta

Vicky Scott creates a personal piece of art inspired by Oscar Wilde's Infanta.

The tale is about a spoilt Princess; the Infanta and her birthday celebrations, and is one of Vicky's favourite Wilde stories. She says "His detailed descriptions of all the beautiful plants and animals and the hot Mediterranean scene are the elements of the story I really wanted to get across. There are peacocks, pomegranates, lizards, lemons and many more, mostly roaming within her ornate gown." You can buy the artwork as a print here.
