Marta Spendowska is commissioned by the Chinese University to illustrate the famous creative writer Eileen Chang.

The artwork is used on a book cover for the University and is a sensitive watercolour of the author who is noted for her fiction writings. Her work deals with the tensions between men and women in love, and are considered by some scholars to be among the best Chinese literature of the period.
