The Last Kingdom

Working with Huge Designs, Nathan was tasked with producing the illustrations for the animated title sequence. Inspired by block print and linocut, Nathan researched the styles and successfully mimicked the feel and texture in the final artworks. He says "We needed to be able to morph and use parallax to create depth so the illustrations were cut up and placed onto 3d objects in a scene. Most of the illustrations had to be extended to allow for graceful camera swoops and slight rotations. The result is something between a static illustration and an animated scene." Watch the titles.
