Hay DoorDash En La Casa

Chelsy Escalona uses her Cuban heritage to illustrate a campaign for DoorDash.

Launched at the end of 2024, this vibrant campaign celebrates cultural flavours, family traditions, and the joy of sharing meals.

Chelsy was commissioned to collaborate with design studio Black Madre, contributing a custom pattern that brings together botanical and food-inspired illustrations to support the campaign’s visual identity.

Drawing from her Cuban heritage, Chelsy developed the concept of “edible plants I grew up with,” blending ingredients found in her grandmother’s garden with decorative flowers popular in Cuba - including Hibiscus.

The pattern also pays homage to one of her favorite cultural cuisines - Chinese food, seamlessly integrating dishes into a rich tapestry of flavours and flora.
