A City in Color

To mark the 50th anniversary of Mississauga, the city commissioned Alyah to create a striking series of seven banners, each reflecting the unique spirit of the community.

Alyah designed one overarching 'Celebrate 50' banner, a general 'Mississauga' banner, and five additional banners tailored to specific neighbourhoods within the city. Each piece captures the essence of its area through dynamic and vibrant layouts, featuring local landmarks, cultural elements, and iconic references.

Installed throughout Mississauga on light poles, the series, aptly titled 'The City in Color,' brings a lively burst of creativity and pride to the streets, celebrating the city's rich diversity and shared history.
