This project, spearheaded by Sumerian Comics, sought to revitalise the renowned Penthouse Comics, a sensation of the 90s. They embarked on republishing this iconic series, and for the commemorative first issue, they enlisted various artists to create alternative digital covers. Among these talents was the artist PJ Kaiowa.
The brief required a depiction of an uncensored feminine figure, PJ adds, "I decided to explore movement and angles, and to have fun with what I'd call a 'camera' point of view. I thought I'd get more impact with an unexpected pose."
PJ submitted several sketches embodying this concept, and the client ultimately selected the pose featured in the final piece.
