The Hidden Gems of Sheffield's Canal

Vicky's vibrant map illustration invites visitors to explore the hidden treasures of the canal stretch between Sheffield and Tinsley. The map, bursting with historic charm, street art, and lively wildlife, guides adventurers from the bustling Victoria Quays in the city center to the scenic Tinsley Marina and the ever-popular Meadowhall shopping center.

Her challenge was to encapsulate 20 intriguing points of interest, along with transport links and footpaths, all within a handy A4 size—perfect for visitors to carry. Adding a playful twist, an illustrated "wildlife bingo" featuring 18 whimsical animals, inspired by artist-painted wooden cutouts hidden along the canal, was also created.

Both creations are set to be unveiled in print this summer, promising to bring the canal’s unique story to life.
