Front cover illustration of "Remarkable Remy" book

Remarkable Remy

Nathaniel Eckstrom illustrates a warm and optimistic story that helps to explain the Autistic brain.

Written by Melanie Heyworth, the reader learns how neurodivergent friends can make the world more interesting.

Designed for both Autistic and non-Autistic readers aged 3 and up, we follow Remy and his best friend in different scenarios which show how the autistic brain works a little differently. And through Nathaniel's tactile illustrations, the reader can align with the characters and learn that Remarkable Remy illuminates the experiences and strengths of Autistic people, and the joys of having Autistic friends.

My best friend’s name is Remy.

I think Remy is remarkable.

Remy is Autistic. That means Remy’s brain works differently to my brain.

I love that Remy is different to me, because Remy can teach me new ways to experience the world.

Published by Hardie Grant Children's Publishing, the book is available at all good bookstores.
