Happy With My Nappy

Written by Gina Jarrell, published by Sleeping Bear Press and illustrated by Lhaiza, this hair-themed children's book will hit the shelves in April 2023.

Lhaiza explains the story - "Our hair and how we wear and style it is one of the many ways we express our individual styles. But it can also be more than that. It can also be a way to show the world who we are, and who we are proud to be. Through bouncy rhyming text and colorful artwork, a young Black girl expresses the joy she feels as she celebrates her uniqueness through her hairstyles. Her hair is truly unique.
