Urban Beekeeping

Vicky Scott makes an illustration for the Mayfarer Magazine on the plight of pollinators and beekeeping in London.

Appearing in the Summer issue, the article reports on the increase in urban beehives and the problems this has caused for wild bees in terms of food resources.

London is on the horizon in Vicky's final artwork, which has a blue and mustard palette and clean design, she says of her illustration, "I created it in a slightly different method to my usual style as I used Photoshop - cutting out all the pieces of textured paper on the computer rather than by hand."
