Friendship

Gail Armstrong works for Focus on the Family Magazine on an article about acceptance and friendship.

The article talks of a family who found a strong sense of community after moving to a new area. Their small daughter asked to say “grace” before eating at a neighbourhood BBQ, which is something they would normally skip out in order to fit in.

Gail explains, "I chose to use hands only to convey the love and support the family found in that community, different ages and ethnicities all coming together and holding hands, led by the little girl who first reached out. As a reference to the original BBQ incident, the pattern on her sleeve is made up of cutlery."
