Healthy Resolutions

Gail Armstrong illustrates for the January 2020 issue of Peer Magazine.

Peer; a magazine for teens is published by The Salvation Army and has been around for over one hundred years (formerly as The Young Salvationist). Gail's commission was for an article on health and in particular tips and tricks for how to successfully keep to those New Year resolutions that relate to health, diet and general wellbeing. Gail explains, "After reading the article, I came up with the idea of using a visual metaphor, illustrating the concept that a leopard CAN change its spots after all. So the leopard sheds his spots and they are replaced by patterns made up of icons that represent many of the suggestions made in the piece."
