Sun Damage

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society commission Alex Baker for an double page illustration showing how sunscreen works.

As sun exposure is the primary source of skin cancer, the journal have featured a piece informing the reader how sunscreen works, the meaning of the icons on the sunscreen labels, where the damage happens and the difference between chemical and mineral products. Apparently 8 in 10 cases of melanoma could be prevented, so the more informed we can be, the better we can protect ourselves. Read the article here.
