Kirrily's fabric designs have been used on the rainwear company's ladies jackets and give a fresh outdoor vibe to their apparel. Kirrily says of the project, "My first step was to look at the colours in the Rainbird range. They are much brighter than those I normally use, so I wanted to really work in with that. I chose a hummingbird as colour inspiration and worked that in with my usual figurative style, making sure there were enough elements in the piece that could be separated to create pattern or texture for fabric prints." Kirrily created an artwork called Invisible Wings and documented the progressive stages of the piece. This provided the Rainbird design team with detailed elements that could be formed into patterns.
