Taking Shape

Gail Armstrong has a paper-sculpture artwork shortlisted for a competition at CueB Gallery.

'Taking Shape' is the theme of the competition and the lucky shortlisted artists will have their work exhibited from Monday 30th May at the CueB Gallery in Brockley, London SE4. Gail says of her art, "I was inspired by my latest commission for Sunsense Suncream and my recent quick trip to Montenegro, looking at the shapes and shadows in the swimming pool at different times of day. By layering the 'tiles' and 'ripples' away from each other, the shadows in the piece itself will change according to the differing lighting throughout the day." The winning piece will be selected by Shape Real Estate and be housed in their development next to The Shard in London. Good luck Gail!
