A delighted Ben can now add this fantastic award to his list of achievements and accolades. Thinking pragmatically, he assumed that his chances of winning were slim - based on the fact that he was the only freelancer on the shortlist. But it's no doubt that his continued yearn for versatility in his career, a willingness to go and do things he hasn't done before and all with a passion to learn more about his creativity, have played some part in earning him this award.
Ben says "The biggest compliment to come from winning the Dot London Creative Agency of the Year award is the nod of recognition to my hard work not just in my specialism of illustration, but in the wider arts. I am very protective of and passionate about this industry and the untold benefits of creativity in society, education and people's individual lives. With charity campaigns, my debut book Champagne and Wax Crayons and my Arrest All Mimics Podcast, I have created outposts from which I try to inspire, educate and entertain people by championing inspiring people and projects. The support from those who have been a part of that journey has meant everything, enabled me to show that you don't need permanent staff to carry out multi-media projects and kept me going through the murky days we all experience. I hope to use this award as a stepping stone to more exciting projects."
