Spirit of Artemis

Bob Venables' illustration of the Artemis Profit flies from the UK to Australia on the Spirit of Artemis aircraft.

Bob Venables has been working with Artemis Asset Management for a number of years providing incredible art for their advertising campaigns and branding. The company were a sponsor of the 'Spirit of Artemis' aircraft - which recently saw the British adventurer Tracey Curtis-Taylor complete an epic 14,600-nautical mile flight from the UK to Australia in a vintage open cockpit bi-plane. Bob re-worked the Artemis profit, which sat proudly on the side of the plane aswell as underneath, and retraced pioneer Amy Johnson's 1930 flight, flying over 23 countries and making some 50 refuelling stops in her 1942 Boeing Stearman Spirit of Artemis aircraft.
