The Big Hoot

Vicky Scott creates a narrative owl for The Big Hoot event.

'Birmingham Children's Hospital has teamed up with Wild in Art to stage the biggest ever mass-participation, public art event – The Big Hoot' - due to be held this Summer in Birmingham. One hundred giant painted owls will be exhibited and then auctioned off with proceeds going to the hospital. Vicky's design is a space owl nicknamed "One giant Hoot for Owlkind". She says "...I thought it would be an appealing topic for children and appropriate considering we think of owls as night creatures, and it's pretty dark in space!." She'll find out soon if her design has been selected, we'll keep you posted.
