Covent Garden Poster Girls

Katharine Asher's work for London Transport is part of an exciting exhibition at the London Transport Museum on female poster art.

The exhibition opens on Friday 13th October and 'shines a spotlight on 20th and 21st century female graphic designers' revealing' the contribution they have made to poster design over the last one hundred years.' There will be over 150 posters and original artworks on display, including Katharine’s Salsa artwork which was originally commissioned by London Transport back in 2001 for a poster and leaflet to encourage Londoners to take up activities that were social and aerobic.  Both of her artworks were executed in acrylic, oil, liquin and pencil on mdf with the belly dancer in watercolour on Bockingford.
