Mlle Belamour

Based in Guadeloupe, Mlle Belamour has always considered drawing to be her secret world – now it’s her career. After a degree in Art and Design at the University of Toulouse she achieved an MA in Art Direction for the Web at École Multimedia in Paris, then worked as an art director and web designer in France and Britain, so she knows how to realise a brief. Mlle Belamour’s creative journey includes some of the world’s biggest brands, who value her individual approach and visual language. She’s inspired by the women in her life, and loves RnB and Hip Hop – sounds that resonate within her, providing the extra push when it’s needed.

Approach

Most of Mlle Belamour’s professional work is created on her iPad with Procreate and/or in Photoshop. However, she also loves acrylics and sometimes natural media are incorporated into her process. Her favourite palette is a powerful combination of pink, green, purple, brown and blue, with secondary colours to smooth the pace.

Delicate line work, powerful forms and bouncing colours are key characteristics of Mlle Belamour’s style, inviting viewers to feel the moment she has captured – joy, sadness, worry, desire, expectation…
