Débora Islas is a Brazilian illustrator who is astoundingly versatile and has a pure talent for drawing. From cut and paste paper creations to colourful artistic representations through to highly rendered realism and photo-based artworks, she works closely with her clients to nail the perfect medium, style and colour scheme for every project she creates.
With a degree in Graphic Design from Universidade Paulista, Débora has worked in publishing companies, giving her an in-depth understanding of the creative process and how today’s brands communicate. Creatively, she never stands still, and on top of her degree has studied art direction, watercolour, photojournalism, infographics, illustrative lettering and more.
Nature and its rich detail and colours inspire her, as does photography – particularly the works of Julia Rodrigues, Júlia Amaral and Nani Rodrigues. Visual artists she admires include Lucila Dominguez, Priscila Barbosa and Brunna Mancuso.
