Based in Aachen, in Southwest Germany, Lukas Bischoff is a hugely versatile and talented illustrator. From app icons through to storyboarding and designing entire typefaces, he’s as skilled at developing concepts as he is at creating finely rendered pen and ink drawings.
Lukas’s father was an artist too, so he grew up in and around a creative studio. He trained in design and has worked in agencies as both a designer and an art director. As a freelancer he’s been able to develop his illustrative talents. His passions include lists and statistics, and his mascot is the moose – a big paper model of a moose head looks over him as he works. Lukas also loves games of chance, and even has his own slot machine – a gift from his father.

Approach
When a project comes in, Lukas figures out what the main area of interest in the image should be, and then chooses a technique and the right media to make that happen. He enjoys mixing media, exploring new and better ways of doing things, and combining hand-made and digital techniques to create something new.Styles
Lukas works in a variety of styles, depending on the project and the wishes of his client. He can create work using clean, flat graphics; generate a 3D feel; or produce something that’s highly detailed and organic in nature. New looks are always being added to his varied portfolio.Languages
